8時、タケちゃんがKULに到着。3日間合流します。

At 8:00, Take-chan arrived in KUL and will join me for 3 days.

10時、チャイナタウンのフードコートで朝食。雲呑麺と牛肉麺。750円。

We had breakfast at Chinatown food court at 10:00 and had wonton noodles and beef soup noodle. 750 yen.

チキンライスも食べます。タケちゃん大満足❣️。330円。

We also eat chicken rice. Take-chan is very satisfied❣️. 330 yen.

12時30分、Batu Cave訪問。まずはこの緑の人？、名前なんて言うのかな？。

We visited to Batu Cave at 12:30 pm. First of all, this green guy?.  What is his name?.

さあ、この階段を登っていきますよ！。

Now, let's climb these stairs!.

2回目だけど、充分に楽しめました。

This is my second time and I enjoyed it enough.

15時、骨肉茶の名店で昼食。クアラルンプールで一番と言われています。

Lunch at 3 p.m. at a famous BAK KUT TEH restaurant. It is said to be the best in Kuala Lumpur.

まずはビール、旨い❗️。

At first, beer, good ❗️.

季節の野菜の炒め物、美味しい❗️。

Stir-fried seasonal vegetables, delicious❗️.

骨肉茶は流石に旨い❣️。これが私の求めている味だ‼️。

The BAK KUT TEH is quintessentially delicious❣️. This is the taste I'm looking for‼️.

スープも美味しい❗️、肉も美味しい❗️。ビール2本込みで3,900円。

The soup is delicious ❗️ and the meat is delicious ❗️. 3,900 yen including 2 beers.

帰り道でお買い物、店の外には何の表記も無い怪しい店。

Shopping on the way home, a suspicious store with no sign outside the store.

実はウイスキーを売っている店です。イスラム社会でウイスキーは御法度です。ハーフボトル390円。

In fact, it is a store that sells whiskey. Whiskey is not legal in Muslim society. A half bottle is 390 yen.

今日の宴はアロー通りのここで。

Today's party is here on Arrow Street.

タケちゃん、カエル初体験。

22時過ぎ、ヒデちゃん合流。日付けが変わるまで大宴会❣️。6,780円。

After 10:00 p.m., Hide-chan joined us, and we had a big party until after 1:00 p.m. ❣️. It costs 6,780 yen in all.

6時に目覚めてパブリックスペースに行くと、24時間居るはずのフロントマンが居ない。そんなシステムは非効率過ぎて信じられないんだけど。よく見ると、礼拝タイムにつき不在しますとの札があった。そう言えば、外からはコーランの放送が結構な音量で鳴り渡っている。ここはイスラム世界なんだなぁ。

When I wake up at 6:00 and go to the public space, the front desk person, who is supposed to be there 24 hours a day, is not there. Such a system is so inefficient I can't believe it. Upon closer inspection, I saw a sign that said he was absent due to prayer time. Speaking of which, the Koran is being broadcast over the air at a very loud volume from outside. I guess this is the Islamic world.

今日の朝食は宿の数軒隣にある超人気レストラン。いつも9時頃には大行列になってます。7時30分の開店時間の少し前から待機して、開店と同時に入店しました。

Today's breakfast was at a very popular restaurant a few doors down from the hostel. There is always a huge line around 9:00 a.m. I waited in line a little before the 7:30 a.m. opening time and entered the restaurant as soon as it opened.

焼きビーフンと半熟卵。焼きビーフンはなんかホッとしますね。390円。

Fried rice noodle and half-boiled egg. Fried rice noodle is very comforting. 390 yen.

メニューの写真を見てオーダーした半熟卵。サーブされたら普通のゆで卵かと思ったけど、割ってみたら半熟卵だった。良かった❗️、半熟卵好きなんだよね❣️。

I ordered a half-boiled egg based on the picture on the menu. When it was served, I thought it was a normal boiled egg, but when I cracked it open, I found it was a half-boiled egg. Good ❗️, I like half-boiled eggs❣️.

なぜか大勢の店員さんがずらりと並んで待機してます。決して暇している訳ではなく、テキパキ働いています。

For some reason, a large number of waitstaff are lined up in a row, waiting. They are not idle, but are working briskly and efficiently.

9時30分に見たら大行列。

I saw it at 9:30 and there was a huge line.

10時、国立モスク (マスジッド ネガラ)に行きました。

At 10:00 I went to the National Mosque (Masjid Negara).

半ズボンだと、こんなローブの着用が義務付けるされる。無料で貸してくれます。

If you are in short pants, you are required to wear a robe like this. They are lent to you free of charge.

巨大な礼拝ホール。

Huge worship hall.

大理石がふんだんに使用されています。

Marble is used in abundance.

広大な敷地。だけど、こんなもんかなって感じ。

Huge grounds. But it's just okay.

朝食が早かったので、早くお腹が空いてきた。直ぐ近くのお洒落なレストランで14時に昼食。

Breakfast was early, so I was hungry early. I went to a trendy restaurant nearby for lunch at 2 pm.

レトロでお洒落な雰囲気です。

It is retro and stylish.

点心をいくつか注文。まずは野菜炒めの小菜。外食続きで野菜の摂取が少なかったので、ありがたい。

I ordered some dim sum. First, a small vegetable stir-fry. I was thankful for this because I had been eating out a lot and had not consumed many vegetables.

焼売と湯葉巻き、これも美味しい。

Steamed meat dumpling and yuba rolls, also delicious.

どれも美味しかったが、なかでも海老蒸し餃子、ハーカウが劇旨‼️。

All were delicious, but the steamed shrimp dumplings were especially delicious‼️.

大きなプリップリの海老が入ってる、幸せ❣️。

It has big plump shrimp in it. I'm so happy ❣️.

最初に出てきたお湯のカップに入ってるハサミ。周りを見てると皆に配っているが、誰も使っていない。これ、いつ、どうゆう時につかうのかな？、謎だ。全部で840円。

Scissors in the cup of hot water served at first. I look around and see that they are handing them out to everyone, but no one is using them. When and how do they use them?. It's a mystery. It costs 840 yen in all.

8時、朝の散歩をしながら行ったことのないフードコートに向かいます。

At 8:00, I took a morning walk to a food court I've never been to.

40分歩いてPuduに到着。

40 minute walk to Pudu.

大きなショッピングセンターの1階に大きなフードコートがあります。

There is a large food court on the first floor of a large shopping center.

めちゃくちゃ大きなフードコート。バスケットコート８面くらいの大きさかな？。とにかく巨大。

A crazy big food court. About the size of 8 basketball courts? . Anyway, it's huge.

Big prawn white curry noodlesを食べます。マレーシアの名物のひとつらしいが、チャイナタウンのフードコートには無かったので、嬉しい❣️。

I had big prawn white curry noodles. It is said to be one of the Malaysian specialties. I am happy to see that it was not available at the food court in Chinatown❣️.

ココナッツミルクがカレーをまろやかにしてくれて、とても美味しい‼️。大きなエビがゴロリと２匹入ってました。480円。

The coconut milk mellows out the curry and it is very tasty‼️. There were two large shrimps in the bowl . It costs 480 yen.

帰り道の途中にララポートがあった。クリスマスツリーは去年の方が良かった。

There was LaLaport on the way home. The Christmas tree last year's was better than this year's.

ララポート、綺麗で立派だけどガラガラ。

LaLaport is beautiful and splendid but rattling.

3階？にガーデンがあります。素敵です❣️。

There is a garden on the third floor?. It is lovely❣️.

16時30分、夕食をこのレストランで食べます。

At 4:30 p.m., I will have dinner at this restaurant.

ミシュランガイドに掲載された名店です。

This famous restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide.

流石です、美味しかったです‼️。ここはチキンライスがクアラルンプールで一番美味しい、とネットに書いてありました。ローストチキンとスチームチキンがあり、どちらをたべるか？迷いに迷い、えいっ両方食べちゃえ❗️。どちらも美味しかったです。600円。

It was quintessential and delicious‼️.  I read online that this restaurant has the best chicken rice in Kuala Lumpur. They have roasted chicken and steam chicken. I was in a dilemma and decided to eat both ❗️. Both were delicious. It costs 600yen.

8時30分、もう一つのフードコートで朝食。

At 8:30 a.m. I had breakfast at the other food court. 

牛肉麺を頂きます。390円。

I will have the beef noodle soup. 390yen.

麺が薄い幅広の米粉麺で、ツルツルと食べられます。美味しい❣️。

 The noodles are thin, wide rice flour noodles and are slippery. It was delicious❣️.

宿への帰り道、無性にフルーツが食べたくなり、オレンジ購入。80円。

On the way back to the hostel, I had a sudden craving for fruit and bought an orange. 80yen.

その場でペロリ。

I ate it all on the spot.

今日の昼食は、ナシレマが食べたくなって、電車に乗って食べに行きました。

For lunch today, I had a craving for Nasi Lemak, so I took the train to eat it.

今日は店内で食べる人の列に並びました。

Today I got in line for people to eat inside the restaurant.

列の流れに従って動きながら、食べたい料理を指差しするだけです。

Simply follow the flow of the line and point out the dishes I want to eat.

ナシレマは期待通りの美味しさ、旨い‼️。340円。

Nasi Lemak is as good as expected and delicious ‼️. 340 yen.

綺麗なレストランでした。帰りは腹ごなしの為に、ブラブラ1時間歩いて帰ってきました。

It was a beautiful restaurant. On the way back, I walked around for an hour to conserve energy.

朝、チャイナタウンに向かいます。入口の立派な門です。今日はクリスマスですが、チャイナタウンにクリスマスデコレーションは一切無し❗️。寂しいですね。

In the morning, I'm heading to Chinatown. This is the magnificent gate at the entrance. Today is Christmas, but there are no Christmas decorations at all in Chinatown❗️.  It's so sad.

9時、いつものフードコートで、エビワンタンメン。

At 9:00, I had shrimp wonton soup noodles at the usual food court.

エビワンタンと言っても、先日食べた肉ワンタンの具に小さなエビが１匹乗っているだけ。ワンタンの大きさはbig❗️。美味しかったです。

The shrimp wontons are just one small shrimp on top of the meat wonton filling I had the other day. The size of the wontons is big❗️. They were delicious.

そこそこ混み合っています。ふと気がつくと、ヒジャブを被っている女性が皆無だ。一昨日のローカルフードコートでは、ほぼ全員被っていた。ここはチャイナタウンなんだな。

It is crowded there. I suddenly noticed that none of the women were wearing hijabs. In the local food court the day before yesterday, almost every woman was wearing it. I guess here is Chinatown.

14時30分、いつもとは違うフードコートでチキンライス。

I had chicken rice at 2:30pm at a different food court than usual.

柔らかくて美味しかった❗️。

It was tender and delicious❗️.

9時30分、すぐ近くの軽食店で朝食。いつものフードコートが満席だったので。

I had breakfast at 9:30 at a nearby snack store. My usual food court was full. 

カヤトーストとナシレマとコーヒーの朝食セット。480円。カヤトーストは確かシンガポール名物だったかな？。不味くは無いけど、もっと美味しいトーストサンドは沢山ある。ナシレマはマレーシア名物のはず。昨日のフードコートで食べたナシマレの方が、遥かに美味しかった。

I had breakfast set of kaya toast, nasi mare and coffee. It costs 480 yen. Kaya Toast is a Singaporean specialty, I believe? . It's not bad, but there are many better toasted sandwiches. Nasi Lemak is supposed to be a Malaysian specialty. The Nasi Lemak I had at the food court yesterday was far better.

14時、いつものフードコートで昼食。骨肉茶、バクティを食べます。

I had lunch at 2 p.m. at the usual food court. I had BAK KUT TEH, a kind of stewed pork soup .

美味しかったけど、私の求める骨肉茶ではなかった、残念❗️。

It was delicious, but not the BAK KUT TEH I was looking for, unfortunately❗️.

フードコートからの帰り道、歩道上で大道芸人がドラム演奏をしていた。なんと楽器は4つだけで、あとはポリ容器やフライパンや鍋、見事に演奏をしていました。
On the way back from the food court, a street performer was playing drums on the sidewalk. What a surprise, there were only four instruments, the rest were polyethylene containers, pans and pots, and he was playing beautifully.

朝、チャイナタウンに向かう途中、昨日までは何も無い歩道が、露店になっている。商品？は全く買う気しない物ばかり。

On the way to Chinatown in the morning. The sidewalk, empty until yesterday, has been turned into street stalls .  I don't want to buy anything at all.

8時30分、今朝は雲呑麺❗️。300円。

It's 8:30am, and this morning I'm having the won ton noodles at this stall❗️.  300 yen.

麺は細くて硬め、歯応えあって、私は大好きです。小さ目の肉雲呑は、しっかりした味付けで存在感あり。美味しかった❣️。

The noodles are thin, hard, and chewy, which I love. The small meat won ton is well seasoned and have a strong presence. It was delicious❣️. 

今日はマレーシア国立博物館に行きます。歩いて向かう途中で、フードコートを発見！。

Today I am going to the National Museum of Malaysia today. On the way to walk there, I found a food court !.

土曜日の正午なので満員。地元民しか居ません。

It is Saturday noon and the food court is packed. Only locals are there.

テイクアウトのカウンターで注文してしまったので包んでくれています。ここで食べますと言ったら、お皿に載せて渡してくれた。

I ordered it at the take-out counter and they wrapped it up for me. I said I would eat it here and they handed it to me on a plate.

バナナリーフに包んであります。見栄えは悪くなっていますが、プレーンのナシレマです。茶色のタレが超辛い、でも美味しい‼️。100円。

It is wrapped in a banana leaf. It does not look good, but it is plain nasi lemak. The brown sauce is super spicy, but delicious‼️. 100 yen.

こんな道を30分歩いて向かいました。

I walked for 30 minutes along this road to get there.

途中に大きな公園がありました。素敵ですね❣️。

There was a big park on the way. It is nice❣️.

すぐ裏には大都会。

The big city is right behind.

マレーシア国立博物館。英語の説明文表示がありましたが、所々読むだけでした。暇つぶしにはなりました。

This is the National Museum of Malaysia. There was an English explanatory display, but I only read it in places. It was a good way to pass the time.

別館特別展の玄関に、ガルーダ？が展示されていました。

At the entrance of the special exhibition in the annex, Garuda? was on display.

16時過ぎからスコールで土砂降り❗️、20時頃やっと収まりました。チョット小腹がすいたので、ロティ❗️。

It started pouring down with squalls after 4pm❗️and finally subsided around 8pm. I was a little hungry, so I went to have Roti ❗️.

卵ロティ、オヤツ感覚でペロッと食べられます。180円。

Egg roti, a snack-like snack that can be eaten in a single sitting.　180 yen.

店内はそこそこ賑わっています。

The restaurant is busy there.
