6時に目覚めてパブリックスペースに行くと、24時間居るはずのフロントマンが居ない。そんなシステムは非効率過ぎて信じられないんだけど。よく見ると、礼拝タイムにつき不在しますとの札があった。そう言えば、外からはコーランの放送が結構な音量で鳴り渡っている。ここはイスラム世界なんだなぁ。
When I wake up at 6:00 and go to the public space, the front desk person, who is supposed to be there 24 hours a day, is not there. Such a system is so inefficient I can't believe it. Upon closer inspection, I saw a sign that said he was absent due to prayer time. Speaking of which, the Koran is being broadcast over the air at a very loud volume from outside. I guess this is the Islamic world.
今日の朝食は宿の数軒隣にある超人気レストラン。いつも9時頃には大行列になってます。7時30分の開店時間の少し前から待機して、開店と同時に入店しました。
Today's breakfast was at a very popular restaurant a few doors down from the hostel. There is always a huge line around 9:00 a.m. I waited in line a little before the 7:30 a.m. opening time and entered the restaurant as soon as it opened.
焼きビーフンと半熟卵。焼きビーフンはなんかホッとしますね。390円。
Fried rice noodle and half-boiled egg. Fried rice noodle is very comforting. 390 yen.
メニューの写真を見てオーダーした半熟卵。サーブされたら普通のゆで卵かと思ったけど、割ってみたら半熟卵だった。良かった❗️、半熟卵好きなんだよね❣️。
I ordered a half-boiled egg based on the picture on the menu. When it was served, I thought it was a normal boiled egg, but when I cracked it open, I found it was a half-boiled egg. Good ❗️, I like half-boiled eggs❣️.
なぜか大勢の店員さんがずらりと並んで待機してます。決して暇している訳ではなく、テキパキ働いています。
For some reason, a large number of waitstaff are lined up in a row, waiting. They are not idle, but are working briskly and efficiently.
9時30分に見たら大行列。
I saw it at 9:30 and there was a huge line.
10時、国立モスク (マスジッド ネガラ)に行きました。
At 10:00 I went to the National Mosque (Masjid Negara).
半ズボンだと、こんなローブの着用が義務付けるされる。無料で貸してくれます。
If you are in short pants, you are required to wear a robe like this. They are lent to you free of charge.
巨大な礼拝ホール。
Huge worship hall.
大理石がふんだんに使用されています。
Marble is used in abundance.
広大な敷地。だけど、こんなもんかなって感じ。
Huge grounds. But it's just okay.
朝食が早かったので、早くお腹が空いてきた。直ぐ近くのお洒落なレストランで14時に昼食。
Breakfast was early, so I was hungry early. I went to a trendy restaurant nearby for lunch at 2 pm.
レトロでお洒落な雰囲気です。
It is retro and stylish.
点心をいくつか注文。まずは野菜炒めの小菜。外食続きで野菜の摂取が少なかったので、ありがたい。
I ordered some dim sum. First, a small vegetable stir-fry. I was thankful for this because I had been eating out a lot and had not consumed many vegetables.
焼売と湯葉巻き、これも美味しい。
Steamed meat dumpling and yuba rolls, also delicious.
どれも美味しかったが、なかでも海老蒸し餃子、ハーカウが劇旨‼️。
All were delicious, but the steamed shrimp dumplings were especially delicious‼️.
大きなプリップリの海老が入ってる、幸せ❣️。
It has big plump shrimp in it. I'm so happy ❣️.
最初に出てきたお湯のカップに入ってるハサミ。周りを見てると皆に配っているが、誰も使っていない。これ、いつ、どうゆう時につかうのかな？、謎だ。全部で840円。
Scissors in the cup of hot water served at first. I look around and see that they are handing them out to everyone, but no one is using them. When and how do they use them?. It's a mystery. It costs 840 yen in all.
